Margherita Pirri

Songwriter, singer and original soundtrack composer born in Milan - Italy, Margherita starts writing her first original songs at the age of 15 with lyrics in English, French, Italian and German. Fascinated by music and its shapes since she was a little girl she begins playing classical piano at the age of 8 and then later acoustic guitar. 

Bewitched by classical music, especially by composer W. A. Mozart, Margherita studies lyrical singing, then performing as a solo Soprano in several concerts organized by her school, the German School of Milan. However her first love is composing and performing her own songs. ‘When I write a song I already have the lyrics in mind and I can hear the arrangement fully formed, one of the best parts of composing music is to create something unique that touches people’s heart.’ 

Margherita's songs has been used as soundtracks in Giorgio Armani Fashion Shows and Emporio Armani advertisement, as well as for Max Mara and Liu Jo catwalk shows in Italy.

This is what French journalist Godfrey Deeny of "Le Figaro" writes after the Giorgio Armani Haute Couture Show in Paris in 2015:

Her songs receive recognition through several radios like Radio 1 Rai programme DEMO ( for talented unsigned songwriters ) and Margherita wins the DEMO AWARD - Radio 1 Rai in 2012, the second prize at Biella Festival, she also performs her songs in Italian Music Festivals for unsigned artists such as Premio Bianca D’Aponte (Naples) and Musicultura (Macerata). 

In the meantime she performs her songs in live clubs such as la Casa 139 (Milano), Eataly (Milano), Piazza Duomo di Brescia (festa della musica), Galleria del Corso di Milano (LiveMi), Festival della musica celtica di Beltane, Interstate Studio 130 (Udine), N’importe quoi (Roma), Pelledoca (Milano), la casa di Alda Merini (Milano).

Margherita also works as a composer for Italian TV-commercials, short movies and documentaries.
